ON CAGE SAPI
The closest translation I can come up with is "Clears the Way" a derivative of ka-gi-sni or "Skims/Gathers in Hand, derivative of the word unkagepi.
Anyone else more knowledgeable of the Lakota language than I, a beginner, with any suggestions would truly be appreciated. This name was found on S.R. ICS so am assuming the translator was Lakota rather than Dakota.
Also which may be of help; relative is listed as Mother-In-Law (b. 1817) to Antoine Claymore, and his wife, Jannie/Jennie La Framboise-Claymore, so if anyone knows these relatives this is all the information I have on her.
Mitakuye pidamaya.

Thank you LaDonna. At first, I did not know how to translate her name and then I saw the the English translation on the ICS and proceeded to look it up in the Dakota Dictionary for correct spelling.
